I read that Meyer has out-clauses for ND, Ohio St.--and Michigan. The rumor 'round Detroit is that Lloyd Carr might step down after this season. I agree with Alan's hunch that the Willingham firing is related to the chance to bring in Meyer, but I wonder if ND isn't more worried about Michigan than Florida. 

The Weeping Clown (Mariotti), by the way, again brilliantly executes another finger-to-the-wind column and trashes the same guy he praised to the high heavens a couple of years ago. Shocking.
