The Big Ten probably won't sell out TD Ameritrade Park next year, but I'd be shocked if it doesn't shatter all of the Big Ten tournament's attendance records. When Nebraska plays in Omaha, the attendance is almost always 10k plus, though this year, it was down a bit.
In Minneapolis this year, the Big Ten sold all-session tickets for $30. I suspect that if word gets out that tickets are available - and reasonable - for families, this will draw extremely well in Omaha next year... provided Nebraska qualifies.
In fact, I suspect that on Friday or Saturday, if Nebraska is playing, that day's attendance will break the previous all-tournament attendance. (12k, if I remember correctly...)
Did Minneapolis support the Big Ten tournament? Nope. That doesn't mean that trying to play in a MLB stadium was a bad idea...just that Minneapolis didn't support it. I'm sure that Tanner Lubach will regale his familiy with stories of his game winning home run at Target Field long after Target Field has been imploded for a new stadium...

I'm sure Target Field is a nice venue but it's way too big for a tournament that at most draws 1,000 people to a game. Next year's tournament will be held in Omaha at TD Ameritrade Park, which holds about 25,000 but still may be too big for this tournament. At least it won't look quite as cavernous as Target Field has these past few day/nights.
