Face it, Almeida is huge when he gets out of bed in the morning. But
he did play well on the offensive end last night. And he even had
some moments on the defensive end as well. The announcers mentioned
that Minnesota needed to run the pick and roll in front of Almeida to
get some easy baskets, but Minnesota had some trouble moving the ball
at times last night, and a lot of that seemed to be Nebraska's
perimeter defense was really pretty tight. I was afraid that everyone
was going to foul out before the 2 minute mark in the second half, but
they played smart and avoided the critical fouls. An entertaining game
to say the least.

And I'm not particularly nostalgic about Devaney either. Probably due
to the lack of consistent quality wins there over the years. Sure,
they beat at least one ranked team every year, but have stunk up the
place at other times. I'm hoping for some consistency from Coach
Miles, and I'm beginning to think he might just get there.
