[Husker] Big XII may seek waiver for conference championship game

After all their posturing about how when Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri and
Texas A&M left about how a round robin schedule eliminates the need
for a conference championship game, the Big XII may be seeking a waiver from
the NCAA of the 12 team minimum to hold a conference championship football 
game anyway.  

I wonder if it's the money or the BCS rankings that are the driving factor?

Side note:  A Texas legislator may be introducing a bill to force Texas
and Texas A&M to play a non-conference game.  As I recall, there was a 
similar move threatened in Iowa some years back to get Iowa to play Iowa 
State regularly and for either or both teams to play Northern Iowa
more often.

This is a classic case of the 'bully pulpit'.
