Strange if he really is leaving, He's already demonstrated he'd do whatever to help the team when he swtched to CB. Fingers crossed its a bogus report. 

Players transfer a lot more often than they used to, with 'playing closer
to home' being a common justification.  ('Not enough playing time' isn't
exactly an NCAA-sanctioned justification.)
