[Husker] Turnovers

In the 1988 Fiesta Bowl, (I think that was the year) the Huskers were
beating FSU 28-24 late in the 4th quarter when they fumbled at FSU's 2-yard
line. FSU then drove the length of the field to score the go-ahead/winning
touchdown. The Huskers almost came back, but had a penalty called which
wiped out a 50+ yard pass play, if I remember correctly.

I guess Osborne teams turned the ball over at the wrong time, the defense
couldn't prevent a long drive, and the o-line was undisciplined (not enough
men on the line for the penalty).

Being facetious, of course. Just making a crack at some of the negativity
on the list...especially when it concerns comparing Osborne to Pelini, and
the past few seasons to those of the mid-to-late 1990s.

On a serious note, the Huskers do fumble a lot, but so did the Oklahoma
teams of Barry Switzer. The major difference is that Barry had a boatload
of major talent on his teams, and they were usually able to overcome the
turnovers.
