The claim that a W/L% of 70% is unacceptable is crazy.  That's the kind
of expectation that can tank a program. Here are the post WWII coaches
with 200 DI wins and better than 70%:  Tom Osborne, Bo Schembechler,
Bear Bryant, Woody Hayes, Bobby Bowden, Jim Tressel, Steve Spurrier,
Lavelle Edwards, Vince Dooley, Tubby Raymond, and Eddie Robinson.
Except for Raymond (Delaware), every coach on the list is a legend.
Those not on the list because of lower WL% include Paterno,  Beamer,
and Holz.  Even Nick Saban is barely above 70%.  Bottom line 70% is
near the top of coaching success.
