[Husker] Contract Extension?

or 2 year contract extension to keep them under contract for 5 years  or
so.  I think BP is under contract for 4 more and got a 1 year extension
last spring. (Correct me if I am wrong).  So will Eichorst extend BP?  It
will be interesting.  I understand that these extensions are supposed to
demonstrate the commitment of the school to the coach and vice versa so
they can assure recruits that the coach will be there, but that has become
pretty dubious.  Coaches leave or get fired all the time regardless of
length of contract.  In fact, it seems to matter very little and it seems
rarer that a change is made after a contract ends.  As demonstrated here
with Bill Callahan.  So if length of contract is of not so much value, it
may be telling whether BP gets another short extension.  Or not, may mean
very little one way or the other.
