At least Northwestern won its bowl game today.  (I think Nebraska
would have given Stanford at least as good a fight as Wisconsin did,
though.)

The Cats finish the season at 10-3 and will likely be the highest ranked 
Big Ten team by the coaches next week.  Will they be the ONLY Big Ten
team in the final USAT rankings?

Ohio State will probably be a top 5 team in the AP poll, but I think the
already slim odds of their getting a share of the MNC vanished today 
when the Big Ten laid another New Years Day egg all afternoon, except 
for the Purple.
