[Husker] Alfonzo Dennard Found Guilty

There's a difference between "innocent" or "not guilty".  I don't think they could prove the initial assault charge.  They did have more eyewitnesses for the arrest.

It's probably like when there is a skirmish on the field.  The guy who throws the first punch gets away with it, it's the subsequent punches that get penalized.

Mike

So he is guilty of assault and resisting arrest, but innocent of assaulting the guy the officers went after him for in the first place; makes perfect sense to me.

Dennard found guilty of assaulting an officer and resisting arrest; not guilty for assaulting another man that predicated the arrest.

The assaulting an officer charge was a felony, I believe.
