I wonder if Nebraska will consider starting a men's hockey team?

Lincoln already has the Stars, a USHL team and there are plans for
some kind of ice rink facility as part of the Haymarket sports complex.

There is also another college hockey program in Nebraska, at the 
University of Nebraska-Omaha (which dropped football and wrestling in 2011.)


However, I don't know that there is any Title IX headroom for another men's 
team here, though UNL recently announced it was starting an intercollegiate
women's sand volleyball program.  (There are now 14 women's sports and 10 
men's sports at Nebraska.)

The Big Ten is also considering adding women's lacrosse.   Two of the best
women's LAX programs in the country are Northwestern and incoming Big
Ten member Maryland.
