With ESPN's reverse mirror of ABC broadcasts, there are no regional broadcasts of Big Ten games except when the game is televised on BTN.  (And most cable/satellite providers carry any extra BTN games on an alternate channel anyway.  It's usually only an issue for people with basic cable.)

One good aspect of NU playing the Buffs in Colorado is that the game
likely will be shown on the west coast.  It may even give a boost to
NU recruiting in Colorado as well as the rest of the west.  I thought
the B1G-PAC matchup which fell apart would have been good for NU, but
I imagine NU will try to get a west coast team on the schedule every
year.  In the next few years: UCLA, Fresno St., BYU, Wyoming, Colorado.
