I think I could argue the Southern Miss has put a better product on the
field in the last decade. They (Southern Miss) have gone to 10 straight
bowls and won five. Colorado four in ten years, no bowl since 2007, and
lost three of the four bowls they have been in. Granted Southern Miss plays
in Conf USA, but to qualify for a bowl all Colorado had to do was schedule
and beat "directional" teams and win three conference games. They couldn't
do that. Last year they lost to Sacramento State at home. Sacramento
State...I have never even heard of them. And yeah, they got beat 69-14 at
home by that Fresno State team.
They have created a real dud in Boulder (and I can't say in doesn't make me
smile). I don't see it changing in the near future.
