In the replay you could see the rubber bits from the turf bounce up, clearly marking where the ball hit the turf. From that angle it looked like the ball then bounced away from Abdullah. That was my personal indisputable evidence that the ball did not hit him...

Subject: [Husker] Reviewed Call

I watched yesterday's game in Manhattan, KS at my sons fraternity with a room full of K-State fans. My son and I were the only Husker fans watching.

Was anyone else stunned at the call that determined, in spite of video evidence to the contrary, that the punt hit Abdullah? The camera angle from the kicking teams prospective clearly show the ball hitting the ground a foot or so from Abdullah and bounce away from him. The Arkansas State players covering the punt merely downed the ball rather than picking it up and advancing it.

Even the K-State fans, who don't like NU, thought it was a ridiculous call. Anybody else feel the same or am I missing something?
