[Husker] JP

I missed the opening (gotta run t Costco some time) but will rewatch it.
After I heard Bo was out I gave up on watching the DVR recording and went
real-time.

This has been perhaps the most strange opening three game stretch I can
recall. Flashes of brilliance on offense, stumblings and the associated
rumblings at other times. Today was bizarre in some respects. When was the
last time (if ever) a Nebraska QB finished a game with more than 10
attempts still had over a 90% completion ratio? When was the last time (if
ever) a Nebraska coach left during a game in an ambulance.

Good heavens if this keeps up my old heart won't make the entire season. On
the other hand its hard to look away. I can't figure out if the offense is
poised for a remake of the "scoring explosion" or what will happen. Suffice
it to say the Wisconsin date is circled on the calendar in a way that would
make Bill McCartney proud.

I guess the best advice is to hold onto your hats because there are going
to be unexpected gusts in the football weather.

For my part, I liked seeing JP's intensity and think the duo of Beck &
Papuchis have the potential to create something interesting. I've seen them
speak together at the All Holy Spirit parish football kickoff talk each
summer for the past couple years and like what I see, both in front of the
audience and off the stage.
