[Husker] Coach Pelini and Today's Game

Looks like they were just being cautious with Coach Pelini. Glad to hear that he is okay and will be back tomorrow. The team showed a lot of character, fumbles aside, in the second half knowing that the head coach was not going to be there.

Arksans State is not a bad team. They put up 34 on Oregon in their opener, so they can score.

Nebraska played the kind of game that they needed to play. They need to work on the turn overs, but now have a lot more experience at the running back position. It was good to see the back up QB get in there, too.

The defense played alright. They were tight early in the game and loosened up later on. Of course, they were better after they loosened up.

I suspect that the Idaho State game will go about the same way this one did. Idaho State may not get many yards and if Nebraska can hang onto the ball, Idaho State may not get as many points.

Nebraska still has work to do to be ready for B1G play and they have another week to get it done.

My hats off the football team today. They overcame the loss at UCLA, and the loss of Coach Pelini in the second half. It was good and solid win for them.
