I don't think anyone has suggested giving Frank a pass, Ohio law on DUI
is strict and that's a good thing. (A former co-worker lost her parents
as the result of an accident caused by a drunk driver in Lincoln some
years ago, and that's all too common a story.)

I assume Frank was warned by his employer, Ohio University, that he could
be fired for cause if there was another similar incident. And that's
enough for me. Not that I expect Frank to be looking to move to a bigger
school based on his age, but I suspect that incident could keep him off
the perennial 'hot coach' short lists, even if the Bobcats go 10-0 or
better this year.
