[Husker] Pelini is not better than both of the last 2 coaches,

I'm neither giving him a pass nor sympathy but I believe it's quite
possible that he was drugged as he claims.

As far as I know, there have been no incidents before or since where
Solich was found to be DUI (or even drunk in public). And to go from no
incidents to not just DUI but completely passed out, seems quite extreme
- extreme enough that it seems suspicious and therefore makes the GHB
claim more plausible.

So until evidence to the contrary appears, I'm giving Solich the benefit
of the doubt.

I too wished Solich was treated better, but speaking of character, do
listers just give him a mulligan regarding his being passed out drunk in
a running vehicle? That's kind of a big deal if you ask me, whether he
was "poisoned" or not as some have suggested. I would have never even
thought about this again if someone didn't bring up Pelini's "character"
when making comparisons to previous coaches.

On a personal level, that is a lot harder. From what I have read, there
were not a lot of ETOH concerns while he was at NU. Drugged or not, I
can give the guy a pass on the DUI. Heck he was coming off losing the NU
job, and he has not had any bad press since. Losing a job like NU could
drive a guy to drink, and assuming the worse case scenario I can give a
guy one bad decision.

If he had three margaritas on an empty stomach, he wasn't passing that
test. You don't really have many options as soon as you get in your car
in that state, and I certainly have no sympathy for him in this instance.
