[Husker] Out Coached. Again.

I think Pelini is doing a good job considering where he is located. I know,
I know, I grew up in Lincoln, love the people and the town but once you have
seen the country how do you keep them on the farm? I was one of the
original "Knot hole gang". I have visited Lincoln/University at least once a
year since graduating in 1956.

My only beef is playing Maher, poor kicker and worse punter. Both were
costly in first 2 games. A record does not a season make.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe Dave is right. Given Pelini's performance, I think
we need to get a coach who'll play some women-bashing rapists who are prone
to beat the shit out of people in public, shoot at cars, and kill people
while driving drunk rather than having some hot-headed foul-mouthed Italian
dude run the show.

What was this all about? Character or something?

contribute. And I'm not sure if my last post was missed or not, so I will
ask again- if Pelini is such a low character guy (and a bad coach as you
claim) then why is he on everyone's short list when a major head coaching
job opens up?

do the "close of half" interview. (this interview is in the tv contract, he
knows it is coming, he is upset that his team just got burned on a long
pass. Of course he is...and he handled it so well.) In the fourth quarter
he puts on his Crazy Bo-face, a mini-meltdown by his standards. Worse than
either of these is our head coach standing in front of the national media at
the post-game and saying how even though we lost (by 17 points) he thinks we
are the better team.
> That is a no-no for a head coach. He can say that to his team, he can say
it back in Lincoln to the local media, he can say it later to boosters and
fans, but he can't say it to the national media right after the game. Very
unsportsmanlike. Most recently, he decided that the opening day of the
conference media days was a great opportunity to rag on his own fans. Go
back and read his comments in the entirety, nothing out of context, these
are not complimentary remarks. Dude needs some serious couch time.
