Reading your first sentence, I reminisced having the same accusation
(however justified) leveled at me during the previous regime. :-)
My $.02, Pelini's team is underachieving. We will see how good UCLA is. I
thought they were quite impressive and if they do not end up in a major bowl
(only 1 highly ranked team USC on the schedule), I will be surprised.
BP has gotten better on the sideline and dealing with the media (admittedly
starting from a fairly low point). The OSU example is a case of BP standing
up for his player and considering where Carnes sits today on the depth
chart, it was likely a pretty stupid question.
The fact that Bo's team set a record for team GPA last year, and that there
are a lot of players with their degrees or finishing them now, I am quite
happy. Add to that fact, 4 players did not return to the team (JRs with
eligibility) after they have earned their degree (Williams dismissed, at KU
others left on their one). Finally I like the fact that Bo considers a
scholarship a contract. He does not run players off or pull it. That means
we have some guys taking up space that may never play. But IMHO, it is the
right thing to do.
All in all am I happy ? No, I want a BCS bowl, and a BCS title. Do I want
BP fired ? No. If this team goes 5-7, does TO have to think long and hard
about that ? Yes.

like Pelini and then find any little thing the guy does wrong to justify
their dislike. Really lousy way to go through life if you ask me.
