Bouncing off of what Agris wrote ...

I contend that a new NU head coach would not only have to guarantee wins
and quality (4/5-star) recruits, but also a lack of off-the-field problems.
 Here in Columbus, where Urban (Meyer) Renewal has held the Buckeye
faithful in thrall for the last ten months, there have already been a
number of incidents in which Ohio State players attracted unwanted
publicity -- including Storm Klein, charged with domestic abuse for hitting
his baby mama (but eventually pled down to a lesser misdemeanor), who was
reinstated after only a 2-game suspension.  (Wonder when Bernie Goldberg or
the CBS College Sports Inquisitorial Squad will be showing up at tOSU's
weekly press conference to press Coach Meyer on the "win at any cost"
mentality -- nah, I'm not bitter ... 8^)

Meyer also had 31 player arrests, including 10 originally charged as
felonies, during his six years at Florida.  Think that'd go over well in
Lincoln?  I don't.

OT, but for them as are coming out for the Nebraska - Ohio State game, I
recommend that you send a note to centralohiohuskers at gmail.com and ask to
be added to our local alumni distribution list.  (You can also find
"Central Ohioans for Nebraska" on Facebook.)  Either way, you can stay
connected with the various events that the local organization has planned
for the Nebraska game weekend.
