Dave can you please explain why Pelini is mentioned as a candidate EVERY time a major Div 1 head coaching job opens?

And If Tom no longer gives Pelini his endorsement (which is what you are saying) why is he still the head coach?

I for one definitely would have answered this question when you originally posted it but until I recently changed email addresses, you were on my 'blocked senders' list so I missed it the first time.

You mean "had" Tom Osborne's endorsement.  I posted this a few months back and the silence was deafening.  Even the most zealous Pelini apologist doesnt want to touch it.  I'll try again.

If four years ago, Bo Pelini had been hired as the head coach of a school other than Nebraska, and in that four years behaved exactly as he has done here at Nebraska, do you really think that Tom Osborne would even consider him a candidate, much less give him the job, of Head Coach at the University of Nebraska?

My answer...of course not.  Because 1. He's not that good a coach and 2. he utterly lacks character.  And character always counts...with Tom Osborne, with me, and it should with you.  I know it doesn't with Jon and the others who have made it quite clear that they don't care how the coach acts as long as he wins, but they are wrong.  Character always counts...in this and everything else.
