[Husker] Caution-eBay

Over the years, I have purchased many items on eBay, including tickets
to a number of Husker games. I've never had a problem - until now. In
May, I purchased tickets to the Wisconsin game at a good price from a
seller with a 100% positive feedback rating; he contacted me promptly
and indicated I would get delivery after he received the tickets, which
would be sometime in August. By the end of August, I'd heard nothing
further, so I contacted him; no response. Then in nosing around on eBay,
I found that a number of other people had the same story and the guy was
no longer registered with eBay. I got ripped off; it happens.
I then checked into eBay's "Buyer Protection Plan", which supposedly
guarantees most purchases. But there's a catch: you must file a claim
within 45 days of the purchase date, which, in my case, passed long
before the scheduled delivery date. So, if you buy tickets on eBay -
which I won't any more - be forewarned that buying them too early will
deprive you of any protection.
