To me the sad part is UCLA will lose to USC by 30. Is Nebraska really THAT far behind teams like USC? I sure hope not.

I was also surprised that Nebraska did not throw play action when they had success running the ball. I do think that Nebraska gave up on the running game too soon.

It was just too much to ask them to stop UCLA a fourth time. There was too much hand tackling, but that is fixable. I also think that being on grass hurt Nebraska. The defense looked a half step slow yesterday.

Sorry, but form does not always lead to receptions, and the receivers have dropped a lot of passes over the past three seasons. When they catch the ball Nebraska does well, as in the Southern Miss game. Not have Rex Burk head in there really hurt. Ame er Abdul did good job, but Rex's experience was really missed. And give UCLA some credit, they made good adjustments to Nebraska's running game.

However, UCLA did not come out of there without any injuries. The ankle injury the UCLA's QB could hurt them down the road (aka Taylor Martinez's injury his freshman year).

If the B1G wins the Rose Bowl (provided it is a B1G vs Pac-12 match up), then these second games of the season will be meaningless.
