>From my vantage point, it appears that SMU's offensive line was pretty good
and used our speed against us. They used constant mis-direction, even in
their passing game. I think we took a while to adjust. But we did adjust.
SMU was a better team than some of us thought they'd be. But the stats show
that they had some success but by the end of the second half I don't think
the outcome was in doubt. I don't think we looked slow. We miss tackles.

I'm looking forward to the UCLA game. That will be a good test of our
tackling and our defence. I'm not ready to throw them under the bus. It was
the first game against a decent team with a whole new coaching staff. I
wasn't as worried yesterday as I was HOT! They ran out of water and
Gatoraid at halftime in the north endzone.
