I believe that this game will start slowly for Nebraska. They may even be down a field goal or touch down early. Then late in the second quarter, or early in the third quarter Nebraska will take control and will handily 35-21.
My take on the B1G is this. Ohio State is the Michigan this season. With a new coach, and a very good one in Urban Meyer, Ohio State may play out of their minds (as Michigan did last season) and win a lot of games. I am not sold on Michigan yet. I think that they are over hyped. Will they sustain from last season? Personally, I don't think so. This will be one of the big stories this season. I think that Wisconsin is over rated, and Michigan State showed that they may not be the team that is being hyped right now. Iowa is young. Penn State is another wild card. Can they sustain it emotionally all season long? How will they handle losing a few games. I do believe that no matter their record, they will be very up for the Nebraska game (this may be one of their 'bowl games' and winning it will be big for them. I don't know about rest of the B1G right now. In deference to Mike, I really hope that Nebraska beats them this year (last year's loss was IMHO worse than the Wisconsin or Michigan losses).
As for Nebraska, I think that they will win the games they should and not lose the games they shouldn't (like Northwestern last year). That being said, today's and next weeks games will a good indicator of how Nebraska will fair this season. As I said, today they will start slowly, then take control and win. And next week, even though UCLA is a little down this season, it is Nebraska's first road game. I have always felt that the first road game is one of those that could be difficult. I believe that Nebraska will win, but it could be an ugly game. If it is, it does not spell the end of Nebraska football. I will post more about Nebraska's season in the next few weeks.
I am glad that the college football season has started again!
Go B1G Red!
