I agree that the talent is improving (or at least seems to be)....but Carnes will never be the Husker QB. Point of fact, he was moved to WR this year.

Geez, you'd think the way some Husker fans talk, losing Martinez to
injury would be seen as a "good" thing. I don't understand that.
Assuming Stanton recovers well from his injury this year, it would
seem that we would be pretty well set in the QB situation for the next
few years. Of course, that assumes a lot about some unproven talent.
But we have Kellogg (Jr), Armstrong (Fr), Broekemeier (RFr walk-on),
Marsh (RFr), Williams (Fr walk-on), Fyfe (Fr walk-on) and or course
Carnes (So). I'm sure not every one of those guys could be considered
Division 1 talent, but you gotta think that Stanton, Armstrong,
Kellogg, and maybe Carnes and Broekemeier have that potential.
It should be quite the struggle to pick the starter in two years, I'm hoping.
