Notre Dame has only one 'good' team left on its schedule, USC, and USC's
lustre is dimming.

The Irish's remaining games are against:

Pittsburgh, which is 4-4 and may have trouble getting to 6 wins, as they still have
the Irish, UConn, Rutgers and S. Florida left. I think they win the last
two and just squeak into a bowl.

Boston College, 2-6 and would need a miracle to go bowling, as I think they
will lose their remaining games: Wake, the Irish, Virginia Tech and NC state.

Wake Forest, 4-4 with BC, NC State, Notre Dame and Vandy, I see them going
2-2 in those games and making it to a minor bowl.

USC, 6-2 and #17 for now, but still has to face Oregon, ASU, UCLA and Notre Dame.
They could lose all four of those games, but I think they will go 2-2.

Here are the eligible undefeated teams left after this past weekend:

Alabama
Kansas State
Oregon
Notre Dame
Louisville

If all 5 of these teams win out, which seems fairly likely, Alabama won't get
knocked off its perch.

As noted by another poster, Oregon has the strongest remaining schedule (even
factoring in USC's malaise.)

So if Oregon is #2, then Kansas State and Notre Dame could go to Tempe, although
if the Rose Bowl gets a compensation pick for losing Oregon, I could see them
taking Notre Dame if Nebraska wins the Big Ten. That would be an interesting
matchup, as the Irish are 3-0 against the Big Ten and are backing away
from their Big Ten committments in order to meet their committment to the ACC.

As to Louisville, they'll probably get the SEC runner-up in New Orleans,
and lose badly.
