I have many friends in the Detroit area, as I did my company command in
recruiting in that area.
Based on the input that I'm getting from them, I think we're
over-estimating Michigan somewhat. The general consensus that they have
about Michigan is much the same that we have about NU...we're going to get
drilled.
The game's line is a toss-up, and the pundits' predictions are about 50-50.
That jives.
Personally, I think that in games where the teams seem so close in talent
and performance, it comes down to special teams and turnovers...areas in
which Michigan seems to have a clear advantage. On the other hand, NU has
played pretty well at home, and the crowd will certainly be raucous on
Saturday night.
