[Husker] Martinez B1G POTW again

With 400 yards of total offense and in leading two game winning drives I'd
say this is well earned.
Right now TM is ranked 15th nationally in passing efficiency (162 rating)
and number 1 in the B1G. In 2008 Joe Ganz was ranked 12th nationally in
pass efficiency (156 rating) and Nebraska was 4-3 at this same point in the
season.
I know there are some comparisons being made to 2007 but the echoes of 2008
are more resounding in my opinion. The similarities? Defense: 357 ypg 2012,
360 ypg 2008. The difference? Offense. Rushing offense: 148 ypg in 2008 and
279 ypg in 2012. Nebraska was far more pass dependent in 2008 but has
shown more balance this year.
All in all I'm amazed at how balanced of a player TM has become. When he
first appeared his MO was the streak of lightening run up the gap to
daylight while the entire defense gasped. Today there are some gaffs but
I'll go out on a limb here and say he reminds me of some famous, dynamic
QB's who shared that tendency when trying to make something happen (I was
thinking of Brett Favre).
I don't know where the rest of the season will go but TM appears to be
poised for one of the better over all season performances in recent history.
