[Husker] Turnovers

Does anyone think that the rash of turnovers in the last few years have anything to do with the "old worn balls" that they have been using?  NU does not use newer balls that can be gripped better.  Instead they use older balls that have had the dimples worn down.  I have noticed it for years and thought it was odd.
