Tom never finished outside the top 15 in his first 16 years, Bo has never finished inside .  Never lost more than 3, Bo has never lost less than 4.  Tom's teams played sound hard football and were rarely ever 'blown out', Bo's teams often play sloppy, always drop one or two bad games and get blown out frequently in big games on primetime TV.

The situations are not in any way the same.

Perhaps, but I heard the same sort of complaint about 40 years ago when 
a young NU coach was not meeting people's expectations.
