Tom Osborne once sent word to the opposing coach late in a blowout
that all remaining plays would be runs through the middle of the line.

I cannot envision any coach doing that these days.

I wish Bapi Gupta were still around, I don't have the detailed
records he does, but I suspect the total number of points in
FBS has taken a significant jump upward in the past few years.  

There was a 6-3 game last night, but some of the best Husker games 
in history had scores like 10-17.  These days that's considered a 
low scoring half and just an OK quarter.
