[Husker] Feeding my (sports) biases

Funny as I was thinking about the OSU game today it brought to mind how
much fun having bias *can* be in college sports. Back in the day I time
burglared myself by spending hours arguing on the old news groups, most
especially with the upstart colorado fans (remember 10 year burn on that
one?).
Maybe its the onset of "grumpy old man" syndrome, maybe I just like being
half ticked off at any given point. Maybe its just idle amusement.
Relevance to the Huskers? How many people now see Ohio State as being
sullied by the presence of a former SEC coach? (Kind of like the
Kardashians being put in charge of all the libraries.) Starting this year I
avoid ESPN like side walk cracks (hey I still love my mom ya know...). If I
see Chris Berman or Mike May on TV I immediately begin Santaria
purification rituals on my cornea.
I was pulling hard to Northwestern, somewhat as the underdog and maybe in
part to get express, non TSA shakedown status on the list (just kidding
Mike).
In waxing poetically perhaps that part of the charm that remains ingrained
in College football despite Lucie's analysis on Peanuts that "It's run by a
big (south) eastern syndicate". So win or lose I hereby solemnly swear to
be grumpy by 10:00CST, I just hope its watching redundant Omaha new clips
instead of a Punky Brewster rerun.
