I'll say it again: geographic (east-west) divisions would have saved 
every one of these rivalries - and added a Nebraska-Wisconsin rivalry - 
with no need for a designated cross-division rival. But then you 
wouldn't have the possibility of an OSU-UM championship game, which (I 
suspect) drove the whole process. If we don't have that matchup for a 
number of years, perhaps the B1G will see the light.
