I'm sure that idea had been bounced around during Joe Moglia's time in Lincoln, but Moglia clearly wants to be a coach.  The only way he becomes the NU athletic director is if he takes the Devaney/Barry Alvarez approach and does both jobs...and right now, not only is Moglia unqualified to be the Nebraska head football coach, that job isn't even open.


Moglia is a football coach because that's an unmet passion that he has to fulfill.  If he wants to be a CEO type in meetings, he's already done that, and in fact, still is chairman of TD Ameritrade.

Moglia for A. D. 

I think he might have the right combination of business savvy and belief in the Nebraska tradition. 

I'be seen a lot of former plates wished for as A. D. I can't see any of them having the business skills needed.
