According to this web page from around a year ago, the first rematch against
two AP rated teams was the Sugar Bowl between LSU and Mississippi in 1959-60.

There was a rematch between Ohio State and UCLA in the Rose Bowl in 1975-76,
then the infamous rematch between Nebraska and Oklahoma.
