But why were they not eligible to play in the championship game? People forget it is about much more than tatoos and selling equipment. There was a pattern of systemic cheating that was serious enough to cost Tressel his job. tOSU offered up this season as a sacrificial lamb and the stupid NCAA bought it. They should have gotten the hammer.

 

Should a team that has prospered by flouting the rules others try to live by be rewarded by letting that behavior go unpunished? USC and Auburn say yes.

 


 

Even if Nebraska wins the Big Ten Championship and the Rose Bowl, there will
still be that Ohio State debacle to remind everyone that the best team in 
the Big Ten this year probably wasn't Nebraska.
