[Husker] Question about the 2nd half and Penn State taking the wind

Two thoughts:
1) Penn State wanted to maintain the momentum and hopefully increase the lead in the third quarter. Of course, the Huskers quickly tied the game, so that strategy didn't work.
2) A cold front was approaching Lincoln and there were reports that it would arrive in the 4th quarter along with storms. Who knows what would happen then? At the end of the game, the wind could be swirling or even have switched to the north...especially if there was a storm delay. Penn State took the known wind advantage for the third quarter, because that wind advantage might not exist in the fourth quarter.

Subject: [Husker] Question about the 2nd half and Penn State taking the wind
Nebraska won the coin toss and elected to defer to the 2nd half. At the start of the 2nd half, Nebraska obviously elected to receive the ball and then doesn't Penn State get to pick the goal line to defend? I was wondering why they didn't go against the wind in the 3rd so they could have the wind in the 4th. This way, if they needed to kick a field goal late in the game, they would have the wind with them. What is the odds on thinking? Thanks
