I thought that the questionable interference call at the end of the game evened out the poor calls that favored each team. Up to that point, Michigan State was benefiting from poor calls. While it led to an a Husker win, Nebraska was close enough even without it to force overtime, so it may not have mattered in the end. The officiating was very poor and I recall Mike Nolan warning us on this list of how poor the B1G refs are.
I agree that the penalties are a result of a young coaching staff. This will get worked out if this staff stays together, so have faith true believers. Heck in his career as Nebraska's head coach, Coach Pelini has taken Nebraska to back to back Big-XII championship games and is on track to go to the B1G championship game in Nebraska's second season this conference. So I don't see any reason to be down on the coaching staff.
This was a good road win for Nebraska, and one they needed. First, it keeps them in the driver seat for the B1G Championship game. Secondly, Nebraska keeps finding ways to win and don't quit. This team has a lot of heart, even though these close games are not good for my heart!
Being back in Lincoln for Penn State will be good. Nebraska needs to keep taking things one game at time and keep on winning.
Go B1G Red!
