Creighton and (next year) Iowa as well.
That being said...hometown players aren't going to cut it in the Big Ten. I'm reserving judgement because Nebraska doesn't have Big Ten caliber players. Brian Jorge Diaz and Andre Alameida, when healthy, are close...but the overall talent level needs to increase significantly. Tim Miles has no background recruiting these types of players, which concerns me.
It should have concerned Tom Osborne as well, and I'm relying on my faith in Osborne to know that Miles not only has a plan to get those players, but the plan is realistic. Miles has one assistant at CSU who has an AAU background in Chicago; that's a start.

The thing I like is that Miles has recruited Nebraska kids and made good
players out of them. I know players do not grow up wanting to play BBall at
NU, but I would think we could recruit Nebraska better. The best players may
still end up at KU (if there is a kid of that caliber), but there are still
Nebraska kids playing at Minnesota, Colorado State and other places.

Reportedly, Groce had already said he wasn't interested in the Nebraska
job. Almost all of the Ohio team returns next season, so if they have
another good season, there will be plenty of offers next season.
Personally, I would have gone back and tried again. I imagine that Osborne
probably did just that, but I get the feeling that it wasn't going to change
things. I still would have waited until after Ohio's season ended and
tried again.
Or maybe he heard Danny Nee say yesterday that Nebraska needs to hire
someone who wants this job, and decided why wait for a guy who has to be
talked into considering it.

Possibly, but until he's done with the current season, I doubt he'd even
respond to inquiries. And if his team beats #1 seed UNC tonight, other
schools may come calling.
