In a very sadistic way, I find it 'humorous' how the now infamous Spanier got 
his tit in the wringer.  IF I recall correctly, it was Spanier to laid down the 
law, flexed his muscles, and told Devaney and Osborne that the athletic 
department would not decide who would succeed Devaney as A.D.  He would.  He 
would implement a nation-wide search to find Devaney's successor...enter Bill $ 
Byrne.

Shortly after, Spanier left for greener pastures, thank heaven...PSU.  There he 
seems to have found that it was the football coach who had the power and could 
flex muscles.  Spanier apparently did abide to the powerful coach's 
desire...hence his cover-up!  Hopefully, an indictment is soon to come for Mr. 
Spanier.
