I don't recall any direct attacks on uniformed players, either, though there have 
been attacks on players in street clothes that may have been in part due to the 
team they play for.

There have been cases of players injured by things thrown from the stadium, such as
snowballs.  

Husker fans may also recall that years ago a Nebraska security guard was seriously 
injured when he was hit in the back of the neck by a nearly frozen orange.
