[Husker] PSU Transfers

In the history of college football, has there been a single incident of
an opposing player being injured by a fan? I'm not saying it hasn't
happened, but I can't recall any off the top of my head. It's pretty
hard to get on to the field in the first place, and even if somebody
manages, they're at a pretty big disadvantage. These are college
athletes that are much stronger and faster than Joe Blow, and they're
also wearing a lot of protective gear.
Short of somebody sneaking a weapon into the stadium or a giant mob of
people rushing the field at once, I don't see why this should be a
concern. You might have a point if we're talking about opposing fans,
but I still think a lot of this concern is overblown and
sensationalized. I remember all the panicky nonsense about it not being
safe for Nebraska fans to travel to State College last year and it was
much ado about nothing. For the same reason I wasn't scared of going to
see Batman this weekend, I do not think a transfer should be worrying
about his safety for 1-2 away games that might happen down the road in
his career.

Anyhow, I have not heard a 100% yes about the B1G allowing PSU football players to transfer within the conference and not have to sit out a season. No matter how the conference rules on it what do you feel the ramifications maybe for a player that leaves PSU, and then later may have to return to Beaver Stadium and play against PSU? I personally would be worried for that players safety. This is an initial reaction on my part. I have never been to that campus and I have no desire to ever set foot on their campus, but I have heard horror stories from Nebraska fans and other fans on how they were treated during their time as a visitor in State College. Sometimes players decide on a school based on location (close to home). I know PSU is not centrally located on the conference map, but will that play a part in the ruling by the conference? Ryan
