[Husker] Penn State's Penalties

You decide if this is worse than the death penalty.  It's a tough call.

* Football scholarships cut from 25 per year to 15.  Penn State will only have 45 scholarship football players in the 2016 season.
* 4 year bowl ban.
* All current and incoming football players can transfer immediately without having to sit out a year.
* All victories from 1998 vacated.
* $60 million fine - to be used to fund child abuse protection programs.

From a Husker perspective, this is preferable to the death penalty or a TV ban because it keeps the schedule intact and keeps the Nebraska/Penn State game on TV.

From a Penn State perspective, you might prefer a shorter death penalty and start over sooner. If you were being recruited by Penn State, you are rethinking your commitment this morning because you (a) will not be going to a bowl game ever (unless you redshirt a year) and (b) a scholarship may not be available anyway.  Penn State will be a glorified 1-AA team by the time 2016 rolls around.
