[Husker] PSU

I will take a few moments to explain my perspective as it pertains to PSU.
Certainly, Sandusky is the one who has committed the crimes of rape. Joe
Pa, Tim Curley, Gary Schultz, and Graham Spannier are involved with major cover
ups. The board seems to have governed very loosely by not adequately
providing/requiring reporting via those reporting to them.

Yes people have been fired, one to date has been convicted, others may be
convicted of crimes. Do you say QED...it's all been taken care of.

I don't say it's all taken care of by those actions. I tend to look at these
events as I would an audit. An audit is intended to identify problems and
stimulate corrective action. When however, the audit uncovers systemic issues,
the corrective action will be inadequate if the corrective action addresses only
the specific problems identified by the audit.

I consider the situation at PSU to be a systemic problem. How many other
problems have existed that were similarly covered up by these individuals and
perhaps others. It my be the culture that exists beyond those currently
identified. In my opinion ut us likely that there have been other cover ups
within PSU. I have ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE OF THOSE 'OTHER' COVER UPS.

It is easiest to address the issue at hand and not consider further in depth
reviews. If that means kick PSU out of the B1G, perhaps not. But, IMHO, the
'book' should not simply be closed and placed back on the shelf after those
identified already are dealt with.
