I don't pay a lot of attention to Sports Illustrated (I don't even buy the Swimsuit Issue
any more), but SI writer Andy Staples nailed it in telling the NCAA to butt out of the
Penn State mess (and by implication the Big Ten Conference as well.)  He also takes his
own profession to task a bit.  

Here's the key part:

"It may make a bunch of rival fans feel better if a bunch of players who were in elementary 
school in 2001 suffer, but it won't solve anything. It won't help anyone heal. It won't 
send any message that matters."
