Yea, and I think there are conflicting scouts as well. One person thinks
David is (barely) the #2 OLB, while others still question his ability.

Steve Sipple had a story on the JournalStar web site talking to another
draft expert who said that Dennard wasn't impressing at the Senior Bowl.
But now, it's somewhat moot. Alfonzo Dennard withdrew from the Senior Bowl
after suffering a hip flexor injury. Perhaps that may have been part of the
problem.

I disagree, Mike. As Andy mentioned, those are arguably very different
skills. Some corners are great at beating up WRs off the line, some aren't
that physical but can stay with the speedsters down the field, and a rare
few can do both (Revis, Bailey, maybe Carlos Rogers).

Yea, from what I have heard, Dennard's coverage skills are excellent.
However he was beaten off the line by some extremely fast WRs going deep.
That will hurt a little on his draft position, but the NFL does a lot of
bumps at the LOS, which will help Dennard.

It may also depend on what skills the observer (or his team) is interested
in.
It would be interesting to see how many modern era members of the Pro
Football
Hall of Fame were first round draft choices, second round choices, etc.
