[Husker] Westerkamp Weighing His Options

OK, 5 things...
1) Believe it or not, NU does NOT have any more drops than any other decent
team in the U.S.
2) Just because someone isn't crazy about Martinez doesn't mean they want
Callahan back. I'm saying it twice for emphasis... Just because someone
isn't crazy about Martinez doesn't mean they want Callahan back.
3) Martinez isn't a great passer. His numbers are OK, but look beyond the
stats....as you say.
4) JW is comparing us to Notre Dame who throws a TON more. For instance,
their leading receiver had 90+ catches...ours? 32.
5) We had a stud WR this year, Jamal Turner....he was great for 5 games (our
leading receiver at the time in about every stat) and then didn't see the
field hardly for the rest of the year...

Maybe because the quarterback is NOT the one that's been dropping the balls?
I get a tad bit tired of the whiners that forget to look beyond the box
score so they can continue to complain. If you want Callahan, watch the
Jets, or where ever he is now. He is NOT at Nebraska (thank goodness).
