Don, thanks to your response. In my post I am just getting sick of the negativity of our so called fans as the best in the country. Really? I used to think that through tick and thin Nebraska was better then that. When I was a SEAL, that was different. We had training 24-7. 2 weeks off a year maybe if shit wasn't hitting the fan. These are kids that came here to do there best for Nebraska! They don't get to practice 24-7 and quit honestly I am glad they don't. I am old now at 40 and when I was in the Teams our training was very tough for a reason. To keep us alive, hopefully. There is a big difference between college kids playing football for Nebraska, and the expected precision of a SEAL team. But do not think for a moment that this team doesn't understand what it means to have a N on their helmet. I have to say being a Nebraskan that means as much as having a Trident on my chest. You wear it proud. When they don't play up to standards, this thread seems to find out who they really are. Goes Venoms. What would you have said to me and my Team when we didn't obtain our objective and we have teammates with blood in the mood? Are these so called Husker fans going to get after us to when trying to do the most difficult jobs in our Military? I thought we were better then that. When I was a SEAL in the early 90's I didn't even get to watch a game. I had to have family send me the VHS tapes. Ya, VHS. When we beat Miami for the National Title, I wasn't able to watch. When we beat Florida, I wasn't able to watch live either. It makes me so pissed off that some of these so called Husker fans are so fair weathered. We go mail from school kids that lifted our spirits that didn't know us and didn't even know what a SEAL was. For all I know they thought it was the animal. I hope you all really look at yourselves as far as fans. DID YOU EVER in your life dedicate yourself to anything like being a Husker football player? I know for certain you haven't dedicated anything in your life like it takes to be a SEAL. I am not bragging but I would bet my life. I hope that when a mission I was on and we lost 2 great operators and I got shot up to you would be like, "you guys aren't training enough, you are supposed to be the best"? What the fuck is wrong with you? You know what, that is war. You are holding these kids to those standards. And I guaranty you would NEVER EVER question me or my TEAM why we lost 2 on that day, or why I got shot up good. Sometimes even the best have a bad day. And by no means do I think this years team was great. But, after this season unfolded, what did you expect? I hope you all look in the mirror. Easy to say what you would do when you couldn't even make the team. When I went through SEAL training, 102 started.... 17 of us made it. So be a fan, a supportive one. All I am saying. I must be reading the wrong link because the posts I've read haven't been
all that bad. Krobb, "Former Navy SEAL", has on his rose colored glasses
and his Pelini autographed ear muffs, that's for sure. I don't have
krobbs's ("Former Navy SEAL") positive outlook but I sure wish I did. It
would make watching Husker FB allot more enjoyable for the wife, my two
fuzzy dogs, and me.
To krobb, thank you for your service. After what you have undoubtedly
experienced, a Husker Team that loses its composure and folds like a cheap
tent probably looks pretty darn good. I've never been in the Military (they
didn't allow "BITCHES" to join 50 years ago) but I'd venture a guess that if
SEAL Teams performed at the level the Huskers did in the second half today,
a SEAL would be just another sailor.
I have one serious question for you krobb: You wrote that "I haven't seen
more Venom spewed since I was in the Military as a Navy SEAL" If that's the
case, why are you so proud of being a SEAL? If they are as bad as you say,
aren't they a bunch of BITCHES too?

Well George, as far as Pelini is concerned he was very fiery. And in my
opinion for good reason. There were so many missed calls. And we played like
a box of rocks in the second half, when we clearly were the better team in
the first half minus all the self inflicted wounds. I get kind of tired with
all this negative stuff on this link and may just get off of it. I am so
sick and tied of this thread supposedly being die hard Husker fans and I
haven't seen more Venom spewed since I was in the Military as a Navy SEAL.
We call our selves the best fans in the country, yet we don't buy all our
tickets and all this threat has seemed to do all year is bitch about this or
that. I don't want to be a member of this thread anymore!! Mike please
remove me as I am disgusted with the so called Husker fans on this thread wo
apparently can't get over the fact that we can't replicate TO's last 5 years
that will never happen again in the history of college football. Some of the
people on this
thread make me sick. Would love to see you in that uniform on game day. Or
better yet. God thanks you were not in my SEAL team because a lot of you
sound like a bunch of BITCHES. You don't win them all. Not even us. I used
to think we had the best fans I the country, now I know we have the best
fans when we are winning as much as expected. You know what, I would love to
see some of you BITCHES do for your country what I did, then say shit about
some kids doing everything they can for this state. GBR, Tkae me off this
site. KROBB, Former Navy SEAL. NavSpecWarSEAL Team 3.

... and perform like THAT as a team. No aspect of the game today was
absent from the screw-up fairy - special teams (allowing long returns,
missed FG, blocked PAT returned for 2 points); defense (the Hail Mary at
the end of the 2nd quarter was the dagger); or offense (Taylor taking
sacks, wide-open receivers dropping balls that could not have been
delivered better by Santa ... 8^) Add in the penalties, and we're lucky it
was only a 17-point loss. Plus, I don't think Pelini helped his bid for
Miss Congeniality, either by blowing off the sideline reporter at halftime,
or by snarling at his team and the refs throughout the game.
The defense, especially in the second half, looked like a unit that just
lost its coordinator and hasn't gotten comfortable with the new one.
Nebraska runs the hurry-up offense to confuse opposing defenses, so it
can't be said that the no-huddle is unfamiliar, and yet NU's defense was
repeatedly looking over at the sidelines for a call while the play clock
was running.
With Penn State, Ohio State, and Nebraska losing today, Michigan State
trailing late, and Iowa and Northwestern already having lost, the B1G is
keeping their losing reputation in bowls alive (although Illinois won, and
Michigan and Wisconsin have yet to play).

A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring
one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their
own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the

good government... - Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address
